Isla Fleet · by Isla Tech · Puerto Rico
A sealed cellular tracker on every scooter, e-bike and car you rent. Live on your own map, battery and state at a glance, and a power switch you press from your phone — a rental that isn't paid for doesn't move. Data included. Installed on your vehicles by us.
That is a real row from this afternoon: our first unit, outdoors on its own power, taking a remote command 64 seconds after it was queued from the desk. A unit with no satellite fix says "no fix" — it never paints a dot it doesn't have.
The problem · el problema
A scooter comes back an hour late, or it doesn't. A bike is "somewhere near Flamenco." A card declined after the keys left the counter. Every rental operator in Puerto Rico runs on trust and a phone number — and the one time it goes wrong costs more than a season of tracking. Consumer trackers show you a dot; none of them can turn the vehicle off.
Every 60 seconds while it moves, every 10 minutes parked. On the map your guests already use, and in your command window — never a third-party app.
A sealed relay on the vehicle's key line. Tap once in the desk; the command reaches a parked vehicle within two minutes, a moving one within one. Unpaid means parked.
Pack voltage, riding or parked, last check-in age. A vehicle that stops checking in is shown as exactly that — offline, with the time — not as a stale dot.
No satellite fix? It says "no fix". No cellular? It says "offline". The desk never invents a position, because the wrong dot is worse than none.
Every power and light command is queued, delivered and recorded with a time. You can see what was sent, when, and whether the vehicle picked it up.
QR on the vehicle, guest pays on their phone, the vehicle powers on; end the ride, it powers off. Not built yet — the tracker above is the half that had to exist first.
How it works · cómo funciona
The unit is an LTE modem, a GPS receiver and a small computer in an IP65 enclosure, powered from the vehicle's own battery (12 to 60 volts) through a converter, with a relay in series with the key line. Lo instalamos nosotros — you hand us the vehicle for about an hour.
Mounted under the seat or in the frame bag, antennas up, relay on the key line, SIM activated. The vehicle leaves the bay already on your map.
Positions while it moves, a heartbeat every two minutes while parked. A few megabytes a month — the cellular data is included in the monthly.
One row per vehicle in your command window: where, how fast, how charged, on or off. Tap Power OFF and the row says "queued" until the vehicle confirms.
Cars and three-wheelers get the same tracking. Engine-cut on a car is quoted after we look at the wiring, never assumed — a wrong relay on a 12 V system is your problem on the highway, and we won't sell you that.
In production · de verdad, hoy
We don't sell what we don't run. The first Isla Fleet unit went live on a Todo Culebra e-bike on September 16, 2026: modem registered on the island's LTE in 18 seconds, heartbeats every two minutes, and a remote command delivered 64 seconds after it was queued from the desk — with the unit outdoors on its own power. The map, the desk and the command queue are the same rails that run bookings, chat and the phone line in PK. That is the whole claim. Two weeks of real rides on real roads comes next, and this page will say what those showed.
Where it was born. Unpaid extensions, late returns and "where's bike four" all become a row in the desk.
Same tracker on 12 V. Position, speed, state. Engine-cut quoted after an inspection, not before.
Tracking works the same on the water — mounting and sealing get a look first. Ask.
It lands in the workspace you already have. New here? The tracker runs standalone; PK is one step away.
Pricing — all of it · precios publicados
No per-seat fees, no data overages, no app subscription per unit. The unit is yours — cancel the service and it keeps reporting to nothing; we can point it at your own server on request. A one-time buy-in lowers the monthly, exactly as it does on every Isla Tech product.
What that buys: the sealed tracker with GPS and LTE, the relay and the power converter for your vehicle, the SIM activated, mounted and wired by us, and the vehicle live on your map before it leaves the bay. Fleets of ten or more are installed six per visit.
The honest comparison
Credit first: an AirTag is a marvel for $29, and the industrial units from Teltonika are what we'd buy at a thousand vehicles. What nobody else gives a ten-vehicle shop in Puerto Rico: a power switch, in your own system, installed, for a flat number.
| Option | Hardware | Monthly | Turns the vehicle off? | Lives in your own system? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Isla Fleet | $149 installed, sealed, wired, data activated | $12–19 per vehicle, data included | ✓ relay on the key line, from the desk | ✓ your map, your command window, your data |
| Apple AirTag | $29 | $0 | No | Apple's Find My; no live position, depends on passing iPhones |
| Consumer GPS trackers (Tracki, Invoxia class) | $30–60 | about $10–20 per unit, their subscription | No | Their app |
| Industrial telematics (Teltonika TFT100 + flespi) | about €97 per unit, uninstalled | SIM + gateway + your integration work | ✓ with your own server work | Only after you build it |
| Vendor bike-share systems (Omni class) | $60–150 per unit, minimums vary | Their cloud, quoted | ✓ | Their cloud, their app, their data |
Prices are what each vendor publishes or quotes as of 2026-09-16 and are ranges, not offers; the Teltonika figure is the EU distributor price the plan for this product was built on. Spot an error in your row? Email info@islatechpr.com — corrected within the week, change noted.
